Dr. Iyad Barghouti, head of the Arab Network for Tolerance and General director of Ramallah Center for Human Rights Studies (RCHRS), presented the Arab Tolerance Award to the Lebanese actress and director Nadine Labaki for her movie “W Hala’ La Wain” during the opening reception of the Fourth Conference of the Arab Network for Tolerance in Isam Fares’ Hall of the American University in Beirut on April 20, 2012.

Ramallah Center for Human Rights Studies conducts the Fourth Conference of the Arab Network for Tolerance

Invited by Ramallah Center for Human Rights Studies, as the founder and general coordinator of the Arab Network for Tolerance, the fourth conference for the Arab Network for Tolerance was conducted, under the title “Transitional Justice and the Democratic transformation in the Arab World”, in the campus of the American University of Beirut between the period 20-22 April 2012.

In the framework of the Political parties and the religious question

in Palestine which aims at rooting the political secularism, and liberalism in principle, value, culture and behavior in Palestine, two workshops were held one in the West Bank on April 20, 2011, the other in Gaza on June 14, 2011. A group of prominent Academics and politicians participated to discuss the topic of the study from all aspects. Afterwards a number of interviews were conducted (About 150 interviews) with partisan cadres to continue the preparations to write the study which is entitled “Political Secularism and the Religious Question in Palestine”.
